At last I have found a solution!

I was able to save the file as a WAV and then convert it to an MP3 through itunes.

Yes that is the file that is greyed out. It makes me think its a rights issue because the administrator account worked fine when I used Stuffit to un zip it. I do have it set to show file extensions and it is a ZIP file. I dont have the BOMhelper or BOMassistant program. Do you know of a another fre...

I have a question about Audacity 1.2.5-pre running on my 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo iMac under Mac OS-X 10.4.10.

When attempting to expand the file with Stuffit on the standard account, I get an error message saying an error occured attempting to expand /users/bill/desktop/libmp3lame-3.97

Both are running version 1.2.5 and the LAME file was saved under the audacity folder in applications on the administrator account.
