Re: Trying to record from browser initiated player
Yes, if I open up a music source site in a browser and stream the music to play on the machine, I want to be able to have Audacity open and record the music as it is played. I will investigate the other options you suggest and if you have a better idea doing it this way then I would be grateful to k...

Capturing sound playing in browser.
If I'm on the internet and I get a sound downloaded by my browser, how can I capture that sound as say a wav file? Can I do that with audacity or maybe some other way?

Audio burning
I have used audacity to capture some old tapes. I have exported these to MP3 and put them on an ITunes playlist and burnt them to CD. I have tried burning as audio CD or MP3 to a CD-rw but will only play on my car radio not an ordinary CD player.
Can anyone advise?

Re: Burning to CD
Thanks, this is helping me learn. I have two tapes bought into Audacity. I have exported these (I think it said 128KB/s!) as MP3 and then added them to the WMP burn list. Trouble is it only burnt one of them to the CD and it will not allow me to add the other one (it is a R/W CD). It sais I should i...

Re: Burning to CD
Ah!, I thought it needed to be MP3 to play on any CD HiFi kit. Basically I want to fill up a 670Mbyte CD with a load of old tapes.
So I must export to WAV to play on non PC players (home hi-fi, etc.)?

Burning to CD
I have a number of audacity native files and want to burn these. Should I convert them to MP3 for general use or a more common format for playing anywhere?

Re: Changed PC want to import all music
Ah, thanks for that, but further problems. I have discovered I had 1.3.8 but installed 1.2.6 this time and it won't open them. How do I upgrade to 1.3.10 to get these open? Do I uninstall then reinstall or just download and run? Also note I have windows 7 and I don't see a version for that.
