If you have used a CD-RW ( Re-Writable ) then that often happens on certain CD players, in particular older ones ( I have no idea why). Try using a write only CD and see if that works.

installing both versions
I have V1.2.6 installed but would like to try the beta version. Can it be installed in a different folder so as to leave the stable version as is?
