Re: NVIDIA Sound Card Version 1.3.18.0 Not Compatible
I have a Firefox Add-On called “FlashGot”. I played this Abbey Road backing track in my browser and was able to download the corresponding MP4 file through FlashGot. Audacity can open this MP4 file and export its audio as FLAC, WAV, or whatever format you prefer. The output is as loud as desired (or...

Re: Help / manual won't open in bowser
The files with “.html” extension must be associated with the Notepad editor on your system. You need to reassociate files with “.htm” and “.html” extensions with your browser instead.

Re: Periodic noise/static/buzz/interference. Please help
Just curious but, are USB connections generally a bad idea? I saw both options but thought USB would be better From my own experience, and from what I have read everywhere, including on this very forum, you’ll never have any problem with RCA line level connections. Trouble often begins with USB con...

Re: Periodic noise/static/buzz/interference. Please help
I'm having the same issue and using an iUR2 to the latest version of Audacity on a win7 laptop. The USB connection was suggested also. I don't have a line in on my laptop. I'm thinking I could get a line out to 1/8 converter to plug into the laptop mic? You could try using a Behringer UCA-202 as Ko...

Re: Periodic noise/static/buzz/interference. Please help
It seems the Tascam iUR2 has RCA line out. Have you got a line-in on your PC? If so, you should try a RCA line-out/line-in connection between the Tascam iUR2 and your PC. This might work better than any USB connection.

Re: Laptop w/Stereo Mix Enabled Still Won't Record
There is a microphone picture on the Device toolbar, but it’s only a symbol for the “Input Device”, which in your case is “Stereo Mix” (mono).

Re: cassette to mp3 - best noise reduction
It all depends what you mean by “excellent cassette audios”. If you mean to say that your cassette tapes play with “excellent” sound when they are played in a good cassette deck, then you won’t need to “reduce noise”. I have digitized more than 100 cassette tapes of chamber classical music. The resu...

Re: Adjust size of audio signal
considering the poster is presumably recording from a cassette or record. I could not surmise as much… So are you connecting the external speakers to the Realtek green audio out? Yes, they are connected to the motherboard green audio out. Typically the output volume you listen at under WASAPI doesn...

Re: Adjust size of audio signal
Hi, I am not sure if it is relevant to this thread, but here is what I have noticed on my own Windows 8.1 system with Audacity 2.0.4 (which I keep until later versions of Audacity have support for WDM-KS). If I record streaming audio in Audacity (from http://www.sky.fm/classicalpianotrios for exampl...
