That'll be the issue. The PC is just an office spare - the guy who used it no longer works here. I had to call him to get the password when I installed it the first time. I log on a "guest."

I am a Mac user. Unfortunately the mic on my beloved MBP ain't what it used to be, so I use Audacity on a PC.
