I am using an XLR cable to connect it to the M-Audio hardware and the hardward came with a USB cable whic connects straight into my Netbook.
I wonder whether something is wrong or whether I am just usinf the software wrong?

The mic is a Shure. It's an SM58.

Thats great thanks for you response. I have however just hit another issue...... I have a Mic with an XLR cable and when I connect it up to the hardward and then connect that through USB to the computer I do not seem to be able to get any sound? Will this mic run sufficiently or will I only be able ...
