Re: Importing WAV file from SD card, burning a CD

The Zoom H4n should have come with its own USB cable. You can use that to connect your Zoom to your PC and it will be seen as a USB card reader device. You then just copy and paste or drag and drop your files across.

Re: Intro Music

If I understand what you are trying to do, I would approach it differently. First I would record the voice-over and get that in Audacity as one track. Then, in the same Audacity project, I would import the music as another track. Using the Timeshift tool (double-ended arrows) you can then drag one t...

Re: It doesn't record - need help

At lot of Windows users hung on to XP because they didn't like VIsta. When Vista first came out it was buggy compared to the very stable XP software. It also had lots of annoying "nag" screens (for example it would tell you that you needed to give Adminstrator permission to do something, when you sa...

Re: timeline

The cursor tracks along the timeline at the top of the display. By zooming in on that until you can see tick marks on the timeline at the interval you desire (every minute, every second, every thousandth of a second, whatever), does that not give you the timiepoint information you require?

Re: It doesn't record - need help

Dave, I sent you a Personal message via the forum software. When you are in the forum, look at the top left corner. Where my screengrab says "User Control Panel (0 new messages)" your screen should be showing 1 new message. Click on the link in that location and it will open up the Messaging part of...

Re: Pitch match one song to another automatically ?

With that range of possibilities (i.e. 1000) you don't do it incrementally from one end. You perform what I call a "binary chop". You find a value (v1) that has moved the pitch in the right direction, then you try a different value (V2)that you hope will take you to the other side of where you want ...

SD card in ZOOM H4 - poor signal level on recording

I am asking this question on behalf of a friend. He has owned a Zoom H4 for a year or two but has never managed to get a good, clean recording from it. Over the last couple of weeks I have been working with him through all the settings in his machine and comparing them to the settings in mine (which...
