I need to go in via the Realtek icon (the red-brown loudspeaker down by the clock), then through Sound man...
Re: File size
Standard audio CD quality is 16-bit 44100Hz. There is, in my opinion, little point in going any higher since the extra frequencies that you capture are beyond the typical hearing range of a normal human adult.

Re: Audacity is introducing background hiss into my WAV file
...I too, have suddenly been getting background hiss and noise as I begin to record and after...never was there until a couple of weeks ago... So, what changes happened to your system "a couple of weeks ago"? Computers don't change behaviour just because they feel like it. There is always a logical...

Re: Is it possible to write a plugin to alter the menu layou
I use just seven of the Effects (and only three of those with any regularity). I'd like to be able to reduce the list down to just "my favourites". You can remove any/all "plug-in" effects very easily. (plug-in effects are those that appear below the dividing line in the menu). I know and I have do...

Re: Weird Export Problem
That's how it has always worked for me, ever since I started using Audacity (v1.2.6).steve wrote:I don't think that they can![]()
If I mute a track in a multi-track project, the track is not heard.

Re: Is it possible to write a plugin to alter the menu layou
I, too, would like to see the Effects menu more customizable. Anything that extends deeper than a single screen is too long a list. I use just seven of the Effects (and only three of those with any regularity). I'd like to be able to reduce the list down to just "my favourites". My idea for a soluti...

Using the words "voice creation software" in Google I got the following among the hits: http://www.download3k.com/Press-Voice-C ... ntent.html Sounds interesting?
