Re: Safe Mode
A further thought: you don't say whether you are actually running Windows 7 Home Premium on your PC, only that you downloaded that version of Audacity. Nor do you indicate whether you are running the 32-bit or 64-bit version of that operating system. Knowing the precise situation, which of course we...
Re: Safe Mode
Is the "Safe Mode" that you are describing being applied by your anti-virus software as some form of "quarantine zone"? If so, what anti-virus software are you using?

Re: metadata for windows media player
WMP probably does not support metadata in WAV files... It gives the impression of so doing. I rip to WAV rather than MP3 and all my ripped tracks show "metadata". However, I suspect that this may have been retrieved from the Internet after the rip and then added into the WMP Library. Therefore it m...

Have you inadvertently turned "Snap to" on (bottom left). Untick it if you have.

Re: Sound not recording on Windows 7 (using HP laptop)

Re: -26 dB mic level readings at dead silence [?]
Why don't you ditch Bing and use a proper search engine (Google). With "Clipping" as the only search term (minus the quotes), the second hit down the list is the Wikipedia entry about audio clipping.Black Dog Bluez wrote:I had no luck Binging (searching) on the overly commercialized internet that topic!

Re: Audacity 2.0.1 "About" not updated?
Hi hellosailor, You can guess what's coming next: a battery of questions... Did you uninstall v2.0.0 first? Did you install from the exe installer or use the zip file? If from the exe installer, did you still have the old v2.0.0 installer lying around on your hard disk? If so, is it possible you re-...

Re: Edit Meta Data; Can't clear?!
I suspect hellosailor was using the term "instance" as I would.
That, to me, is two instances of Audacity.
