It's connected through a usb port to my Dell Insprion 620. I have nothing in addition to the Dell.

Thanks. Installed 1.3. I'm having the same problem. Bad distortion. The red and green meters are consistently maxed out. Can you please tell me how to adjust so they will be playing in a normal range?

Hi, I'm having problems with really bad distortion of sound while I'm playing a record.
