Thanks. I did push the ground wire into the third prong of the outlet, but it certainly makes more sense to provide a ground position on the device. One other question regarding format. I have been using .aiff which is what CD Doctor offered, but I am wondering if that is the best format to be using...

That' a relief. I was not looking forward to redoing all those tape conversions.

The record whose attachments I sent before is actually a monaural record that was enhanced for stereo, which probably means they just duplicated the monaural channel.
