im trying to record from my technic 1210's via a 2 channel mixer Pretty sure that this because i cant trick the mic jack into thinking it is a line in. Some people say they have extra voltage to boost the sound or something. End the end i've ordered an Alesis Line Link and two rca to phono adaptors....

i'm trying to get an acceptable quality of recording and - following some reading here - think i now what the problem is. I have no "line in" on my laptop and recording via the mic jack distorts. So with some help i have installed a driver which shows up as stereo mix like mentioned in the wiki. See...
