Did you try the "Alternative zip download for Lame 3.98.2 " ? Thanks Steve. I tried with Audacity v1.2.5 as well as with v1.3.13 in both versions I had the same problem. I don't use Macs, but I believe that the correct version of Audacity for Lion is 1.3.13 (this is the Audacity 1.2.x part of the forum). http://audacityteam.org/download/ If you are already using Audacity 1.3.13 and still have a problem, this page may help: http://manual.audacityteam.org/man/FAQ:Ins...

Cannot export MP3 in Lion
Same problem. On Mac OSX Lion 10.7.2.
I downloaded Lame Library v3.98.2 for Audacity, installed the package "Lame Library v3.98.2 for Audacity.pkg".
But I'm unable to locate the file "libmp3lame.dylib" which should have been installed. It is as if it does not exist.
