Thanks: that did the trick
BTW not a tiny screen, but I do have a couple of other windows up, and, at least on my setup, 1.3.13 has slightly different display defaults to 1.3.12

Adjust default vertical height display
Having just downloaded 1.13 I note that the default vertical height of the audio track display is much larger that previously. This means that to see both stereo waveforms I have to Ctrl+Shft+F OK not the end of the world, but is there anywhere i can adjust either the default height for a new track,...

Re: 1.3.10 default timer change to 1 hr is annoying
I would expect that the 1 hour default is a reasonable value for the majority of users that use this feature It would be if there was only one "unit" of time and any keyboard entry would over-type the default. As it is with the current UI you have days, hours, mins & secs and, as I stated before If...

Re: 1.3.10 delete to end: change in display causes more work
I think I understand why Audacity behaves this way. In some cases (a multi-track project), the user might want the display to stay at the current location and zoom level after the delete. In other cases (a single-track project) the user might want the display to scroll to show the cursor. You can't...

Re: 1.3.10 delete to end: change in display causes more work
"Edit menu > Move Cursor > To Selection End". As with "end" that doesn't seem to work unless you move the cursor first Actually "shift+," seems to be the quickest way of getting the cursor back I know that's not very convenient but you can set a keyboard shortcut. Personally I just press Ctrl and s...

That does not work in the case I'm describing unless I hit "home" firststevethefiddle wrote: Press the END key.

Thanks all for the comments
I would be happy with retaining the last value used, or the cfg or preferences.

1.3.10 default timer change to 1 hr is annoying
I often use audacity to record live radio "off-air", quite often the programs are approx 30 mins, and sometimes 15 mins. 1.3.10 appears to have a default of 1 hour for timer record, so if I type "shift+T" then "15" I end up with 75 mins. Perhaps the default length could be set in the preferences sec...

1.3.10 delete to end: change in display causes more work
I have just moved up from 1.3.7 to 1.3.10 There seems to be a change in display when deleting to end, in 1.3.7 after a deletion (to end) the screen would refresh itself and I would see data displayed at the current zoom interval In 1.3.10 following a delete to end the screen no longer refreshes and ...

1.3.7: file export sometimes fails (creates small file)
Sometime on file export -> mp3 a very small file is created which does not contain the data
If I repeat the process then it works properly
also (on another point) 1.3.7 +the only lame it will work with seems to create larger size files than previously using standard preset
