update: incorrect information last post if i flick the mic selection on audacity then fraps records the mic aswell and not the in game sound

latest update.

If i begin recording with fraps then reselect the mic input that works but obviously i shouldnt have to do that

UPDATE:

I purchased a new sound card thinking maybe its got something to do with using my on board sound and unfortunately to no avail

Im using windows xp

the latest is i can record my voice but as soon as i turn fraps on it decides to record the system sound instead and ignores the mic??

Ok i have done more testing the sound is only picked up when i turn fraps on to record my game play I was wondering if there is a setting on audacity that is causing this
