Re: audacity inputs and windows 7
Well, like I said - I can see only 2 inputs in sound options...Another thing is that I would want to record what I hear through my speakers via windows 7 stereo mix (that of course isn't just question of audacity), but that also doesn't work with hardware soundcard. Silly, really, if you ask me...

Re: audacity inputs and windows 7
In XP I was able to choose that it records with 4 channels. My focusrite / windwos 7 settings on audio configurations shows only 2 inputs, so can't select that it uses all 4... It's strange, because drivers are the same...

Re: audacity inputs and windows 7
Every audacity version has that I can only record inputs 1-2. In XP weren't such problems. Yes, my soundcard drivers support Windows 7, but strangely also using other software except Ableton it seems windows 7 by default assumes that line level means only inputs 1-2. Frankly, this is crazy so far. S...

audacity inputs and windows 7
So, testing audacity with windows 7 and can't get inputs 3-4 showing up, only inputs 1-2 (both in MME and Windows direct sound mode). I also have windows XP available and there in windows direct sound mode inputs 3-4 and more show up properly. What could be the problem? Using Scarlett Focusrite 8i6 ...

Re: Distortion/noise
There has been a recent discussion involving Ableton kit. You might want to run a search here on the forum to try and find that and read through it. I tried to search via keyword "abelton" and checked topics dating back to 2010, but none of them dealt with my issue it seems. The thing is, that able...

Distortion/noise
Hi, Well, this is strange. I get distortion/clicking noise when recording piano (and other instruments from keyboard) via line in, however, I don't get any distortion when recording via other software (in my case - Ableton Live Lite). However, the same levels/settings are used, the difference in Abl...

Re: clicking sound/noise when editing
Thanks for responses! It didn't worked with Zero crossings for some reason but worked with Fade Out and the clicking noise is gone. Update: Too soon to claim victory. While the clicking itself is not present, there still is some "noise", ah, it's easier to record another track instead of editing. :D...

Re: clicking sound/noise when editing
I used amplify and it seems the problem really is in the middle , because I edited it a bit and the noise became even more noticable.
So, there should be a way how to remove it also....

Re: clicking sound/noise when editing
Problem really could be that middles doesn't match but Normalizing (remove any DC offset) is not helping at the moment (still that clicking sound). Also, strange thing when editing is that sometimes black, sometimes red vertical line shows up in the place where I edited...

clicking sound/noise when editing
So, I got 2 audio tracks. I edit the first one and add a bit from 2nd and then some clicking noise shows up. It is exactly at the moment when these 2 tracks "meet" (so to speak on the "boarder" where 1st clip ends and 2nd starts) - the rest of the clip is fine. How I get it out? It seems that this c...
