The project rate value that appears when I open a file is the original value of that file or it is a preset of Audacity?

Hi. I have a sound file with 16KB(.caf) and I deleted a piece of wave sound of this file. When I saved the size changed to 20KB(.caf).
I didnt change anything, I only deleted a piece of it. Any suggestion?
