Circa 6000 - 8000 Hz for the cut-off? And yes if you want to click the e-mail icon under my username and send me a short (1 minute) WAV file with the words in question, and what you "think" they say, I'll have a quick play with it. Make sure your project rate bottom left of the screen is 44100 Hz. ...

You've obviously tried Effect > Amplify? Effect > Low Pass Filter, which might kill the exaggerated sibilants you might get with whispering? Assistance needed from one well versed with Audacity
I desperately need some help here as I've been working on this for nearly two weeks and am no longer gaining any ground. To be blunt, my Wife is having an Affair. While I really do not care to expose my personal life in a Public Forum, I am at a total dead end here and need help. Using Audacity 1.3....
