"popping" noises occur randomly in my cuts.
In some, and only some, of my songs, "popping" noises occur. Does anyone else have this issue and/or how can I prevent them from occurring or remove them. I've tried the option "Click Removal" to no avail. I am running Windows 7 and Audacity 2.0.6. I am attaching an example of some of the "popping" ...

Hooking up a Roland AC-40 to a computer running Audacity.
I have a Roland AC-40 which puts out a mono feed into a standard 1/4 inch cable. I need to hook that into something (no clue what) that puts out a USB feed so I can plug into my computer. I am using Audacity freeware to record MP3's. I used to have a Mackie which put out standard RCA which I fed thr...

Recorded vocal switches to gurgling noise
I’ve been working just find with Audacity for weeks now. All of a sudden, as in just a couple of days ago, the recorded vocal quality becomes awful part way through a song. So, everything is find then in the middle of the song, the vocal goes gurgling. That would seem to point at some memory problem...

Re: Are the various Effects documented anywhere?
A dunce I am. I see them now and feel that I should have been able to find them on my own. Oh well. I do know of the manual and just failed to use it properly.
Thanks

Are the various Effects documented anywhere?
If so, could you point me there? I feel like they must be obviously documented somewhere and I'm a dunce for not being able to find them. Oh well.

Have you tried various Audio HOst settings? I had a flat line until I adjusted this option from the default.

I figured it out. I had to switch the Audio HOst from MME to Windows Direct.

Re: se2200a questions and concerns
I have a 406M six channel Mackie mixer. The manual is online at… http://www.mackie.com/pdf/ppm_om.pdf I downloaded the PDF some years ago so I had to look around for this manual on line. On page 19 is where you will find the quote I supply…. “The PPM Series provide +15V DC phantom powering on pins 2...

Re: se2200a questions and concerns
Oh well, I may have figured it out. My Mackie manual has the following…. “The PPM Series provide +15V DC phantom powering on pins….” And, the lame sE Electronics Microphone Manual has the following…. “…require a phantom power supply (48V nominal)….” Does this seem like the issue to you guys? If so, ...
