Straight wouldn't be good, it won't sound good, you need amplification if you want to connect straight to the computer.

What's the diference, guitar is mono, unless you are connecting your guitar to the amp, then recording it with a stereo microphone, the input will be mono.

I have two sound devices, one onboard, the other off-board. Would what he wants be possible? or due to windows limitations (directsound, mme, ks) audacity can only record from one device?

I'm using audacity 1.38 with windows XP 32bits. Everytime i use generate silence it does zoom out, also if i have 2 tracks, and the second is in the middle (lets say at 10 seconds it starts) with no audio data before, if i use generate silence at the beggining of the track (at 10 to 10,2 seconds) th...

I'm having problems to use the effect Equalization while using the preview function. The first time i change the equalization graphic and press preview, it works without problem.
