I've got a Blue Yeti Mic and I record a live band with it for rehersals.
It took a couple of rehersals to get it to sound good but I am pretty happy witht he results.
I tried to upload a recording for you but the file (MP3) is too big.

Re: Sound quality deteriorates halfway through recording
Hey Koz, I set up and plugged in the Fast Track Pro last night for its first test run (with just electric guitar – no bass or drum kits yet) and so far so good. I ran Guitar > Pedals > Amp and from my last pedal in the chain, I ran a lead from this (has 2 outputs) > Fast Track Pro. Seemed to work OK...

Re: Sound quality deteriorates halfway through recording
've followed the link provided (by kozikowski) and have follwed the instructions to check that my Drivers are up to date and they are. It's not a driver software issue although that couldn't hurt. Windows comes set for conferencing sound management and those settings do not get along with theatrica...

Sound quality deteriorates halfway through recording
Hi guys, there is probably a simple reason for the problem I am having, but I've used the search functions and FAQ and can't find the solution. Been recording our bands rehersals just using a Blue Yeti USB Mic > Laptop as a room mic and (once I got all of the levels right) sounds OK. However I have ...

Re: Help Recording Guitars
I'm using a Blue Yeti USB Mic and it took me a while to get the recording input level right with out clipping.
I was listening to it again last night and I was really impressed with how the drums sound.

Re: Help Recording Guitars
Thanks guys.
I probably wasn't clear enough, as I am actually recording my own bands jam sessions, as opposed to going to a gig and trying to record.
Appreciate any and all assistance!

Re: Help Recording Guitars
Hey, I am also fairly noobish to Audacity and also trying to record guitars/bass and drums. I was curious to hear what other Audacity users do or effects they use to improve sounds quality to a live band recording. Like, do you guys have a standard couple fo things you would do to the recording auto...

Re: New to Audacity & Recording (Noob alert!) Set Up ???s
Thanks Steve!
Where do I adjust "maximum peak level of around -12 dB"
And should I be doing anything in the 'Control Panel' on the computer in regards to recording input level?

New to Audacity & Recording (Noob alert!) Set Up ???s
Hey guys, my first post and looking forward to learning from you guys. Some friends and I jam a couple of times a week and have decided to try to record some of our jams for practise and depending on the quality we can get, maybe share with some friends. I am hoping someone can give me a quick 'how-...
