Re: Bug or my mistake?
There is no such problem with the stable version of the audacity. But its painful to work with the stable (old) version.
And yes it can be reproduced, as it happens almost every time I do the process.

Re: Bug or my mistake?
Yes the same things happens with 1.3.7 version.
I even manage it to sound ok (when I work on the project), but when I export it to mp3 it gets the error I described above (some sounds are silenced in the second track eith the outro).

Re: Bug or my mistake?
There are bugs in Audacity 1.3, but I don't think this is one of them. The current beta version is 1.3.7 and this is the version that you should use. The fade-in / fade-out effects are applied to all selected tracks. So you have your music on track 1, then import the intro to track 2, and the outro...

Re: Bug or my mistake?
Kind of stupid but I found a way out of this. I first do the cutting and fade in fade out and then I import the mp3 file with intro and outro message. Then it works ok. This means that the "fade out" effect does something to the imported mp3 file.
Is this a bug and where should I submit it?

Bug or my mistake?

I have the recording and I am adding to it the introduction and "outro" I do this by importing a mp3 file. So when I add it i also use the fade in and fade out at th...

selction tool, can't choose particular time for editing
I just had today strange experience with audacity. Everything worked fine, then suddenly I started to have problems with it. Now I can edit the track only from some points on the time line. For example I have this track opened and now I can edit it by clicking with the selection tool only on 4.0 or ...

Re: Newbie question, different sample rates
Audacity can handle tracks at different sample rates simultaneously. If you import a track with a 44.1 kHz sample rate, another at 48 kHz, and another at 16 kHz, then play back all three tracks at the same time, they will all play back correctly. There is no need to put them all in the same track, ...
