I'm doing some historical research and want to interview people in different parts of the country and would like to record the interviews for eventual podcasts. This will be dne of course with their permission and I was wondering the best way to record so I can get the file into audacity to edit. Th...

Re: Can't play MP3 in all versions Of Windows Media Player
Do they run the same version of Windows Media Player and use all the same codecs (not sure how much the codecs would affect this)? Hard to say. I've unistalled it and installed a lower version (10) and it still won't play the Audacity mic recorded mp3 on my work PC yet I bring the same mp3 home and...

Re: Can't play MP3 in all versions Of Windows Media Player
The other odd twist to this is that I have 2 PC's and I only have a problem playing the created mono mp3 on one PC and not the other. Both are top of the line, fairly new PC's. I might have some sort of conflit on the problem one but don't know where.

Is there something special I need to know to do it in stereo? Not sure if it matters but the MP3's are eventually for Podcasting. Thanks!

Can't play MP3 in all versions Of Windows Media Player
Hi, This is puzzling and can't figure it out. On the positive side, I can take an exsting music MP3, edit it and export it as another MP3 and it plays fine in Windows Media Player. Yet, if I record on a microphone and export it as an MP3 it won't play on Windows Media Player, yet it plays in RealPla...
