Re: Inserting Track breaks
Many thanks - I will try this straight away. But can I do this while its recording or only afterwards on playback? (as I only seem to be able to hear through pc speakers on playback and not when recording)

Inserting Track breaks
I would like to copy my old vinyls to electronic format. Have wired up turntable to pc and it works well. But is there a simple way I can insert the breaks between each track on the album or do I need to record every track individually? Sorry if its an obvious question but by the very fact I have vi...

Re: Recording level
There is a drop down box showing horizontal stereo / vertical stereo / Linear / etc...... but I dont think this is the one you mean.
There is a drop down box nect to the mic slider but this is greyed out.
So not sure where to find Audio Source selector?
Sorry I am such a problem to you!
Thanks

Re: Recording level
Koz,
When I plug the lead into the mic input & headphone output as you say, it increases the recording level significantly.
Does this mean the pc is broken or do I just need to use the lead whenever I record?
Thx

Re: Recording level
Yes that increases the level a lot. What does that mean? Can I solve it or is my PC broken?
Also the slider seems to have a mind of its own. When I turn down recording level, it sometimes ignores me and just reverts straight back to where it was. Not every time, but about 90% of the time.

Re: Recording level
Sorry but nothing is plugged in. I wanted to record things like a radio recording that I listen to on my pc via the internet.
The waves (amplitude?) are very small so recording is very quiet even with slider (next to microphone) on maximum,
