Re: "file not well formed in line 6" error?

Thanks to all. A file naming effort never occured to me since I am not a programmer, just a music user. Would be good to put these naming conventions in the version documentation when it comes out in stable version.

Lame version for leopard? Exporting mp3 from osx10.5.5?

Hey folks== So I got a new macbook pro with leopard 10.5.5 and had apple migrate my files from the previous MBP using tiger. My audacity files will play fine but when I try to export them to mp3 audacity can't find the lame file I had previously downloaded. Should I download some new version of lame...

Re: "file not well formed in line 6" error?

So this is some coding error in the 1.34 programming. It has nothing to do with my recording levels or whether I move around the recording folder, or some other setting I changed? It's just random? Because sometimes I get the error and and sometimes not.

Re: Audacity not working with Mac OS X

I am having similar problems. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it crashes. Even when it doesn't crash sometimes a saved file won't reopen properly. I have osx 10.4.11 (tiger) on a macbook pro. What sort of error messages are you getting? What are you setting as your "sound in" setting?

"file not well formed in line 6" error?

Hi all-- I have a 2GHz Macbook Pro running osx 10.4.11. I am importing mp4's into my audacity files and then recording additional tracks from an electric guitar through a Korg Pandora 5 effects box that connects to the Mac via usb. I have my "sound out" going through the Korg box to some external sp...

Re: can someone explain latency and how to compensate for it

I have been trying to use this Korg Pandora box which is doing both audio in and out at the same time via a USB connector so that is most likely the problem. I have cleaned off my hard drive, reduced the quality of the audacity recordings down to 22000, recorded mono instrumental tracks, tried swith...

Re: can someone explain latency and how to compensate for it

I figured that was the problem with the crashes. So if I leave my 70 gigs of software on my 100 gig MacBook Pro and I direct all my audacity files to be saved to a USB back up drive which isn't really full, will there still be playback delays just because of having the data go through a USB connecti...

can someone explain latency and how to compensate for it?

Hi -- I am importing mp4 tracks into audacity 1.3.5b on my intel macbook pro and then using a KORG pandora USB effects box with my electric guitars to record additional bass and guitar tracks. The pandora gives me lots of special effects and simulates different amps and types of guitar and the track...
