Re: How To Save Clips To Use For Noise Reduction
Thanks a lot for all of that. Very interesting and informative. I've learned that I can indeed import an audio, use it for a noise reduction 'template' or whatever it's called and remove that pattern from a completely different track. I did it. It's fine. There's this one little 'sub feature' or som...

How To Save Clips To Use For Noise Reduction
I am just learning. I have amplified the sound on my cellphone recordings but now I have a noise problem - car noise, traffic noise, they were made on the road. I do a noise reduction and it is good but more needs to be done. I select some more noise and extract it and find it is too much - the rema...

Re: Can We Remove Repeated Sections of A Track?
The problem is far more complex that you suggest, especially as I expect that you want to match sections that "sound" the same. Thanks for your response but no, that's not what I am talking about. I am talking specifically of finding visual waveforms that look the same - that are the same - on one ...

Re: Can We Remove Repeated Sections of A Track?
Well I don't think that's quite right, is it? computer are made for simple tasks and what we're talking about here is simple. Much simpler than, say, face recognition. There's no comparison here between 'nearly the same'. Here we've got 'exactly the same'. The track is a visual picture made by telli...

Re: Can We Remove Repeated Sections of A Track?
That's a shame. Ah well. I wonder if they're trying too hard - the programmers, when they looked at implementing this feature? Because Audacity displays these sounds graphically as waveforms no problem at all, doesn't it? So a graphical matching or 'mapping' would do fine. That's the way I do it mys...

Can We Remove Repeated Sections of A Track?
I don't mean noise reduction. I just mean like you might cut out a section of track. Select a section that represents a sound repeated often on the track and have audacity recognise it and go down the length of the track and remove every instance of it. i.e. matching that exact waveform? Like noise ...

Re: How To Put Drum Track
thanks. i haven't looked at it yet but i don't think that's what i want. i want a drum tone spaced correctly for the time signature that i can identify on the timeline and use.... does the metronome do that? i'll check... Edit: I've found drum samples n the web and have downloaded a stack of them. I...

How To Put Drum Track
Can Audacity automatically create a drum track for me? Nothing fancy. Just like beating time, you know? Like when I push the accompany button on my keyboards and it starts beating away an (awful) 3/4 or 4/4 or whatever 'drum' thing....
woops, sorry... I'm using 2.1.2 on win10

Re: repeat a selection over and over [SOLVED]
Thank you. I was all wrong there. It wasn't the repeat tool I'd used. I don't know what. But the repeat tool gives you what I was looking for: somewhere to input how many repeats you want. I was into something to do with looping.
Anyway it's all fine now, my mistake.
Thanks very much.

Re: repeat a selection over and over..
Yes, i have seen that tool . I was using it. it played on and on fine - but I've got no indication of how to save it to a file. I had to go before I got a chance to save that file - mean export to audio file of course, not save an audacity project - but I can't see that exporting the audio would do ...
