Re: Computer crashed and won't load the recent Audacity proj
So what exactly happens if you double click on the .AUP file? You've not moved, renamed, or otherwise changed either the .AUP file or the _data folder have you? When I double click, it said the same, "Audacity did not recognize the type of the file 'D:/files/..... .aup'. If it's uncompressed, try i...

Re: Computer crashed and won't load the recent Audacity proj
When you save a project it creates a file with a "AUP" file extension, and a _data folder. For example, if you saved a project and called it "thursday" then it will create a file called "thursday.aup" and a folder called "thursday_data". Do you have both the AUP file and the _data folder? If you do...

Re: Computer crashed and won't load the recent Audacity proj
That's either because you are trying to "import" the .AUP file as if it were an audio file, or the .AUP file is hopelessly damaged. For Audacity Projects you must use "File > Open", or double click on the .AUP file. For Audio files you should use "File > Import > Audio", or drag the audio file into...

Computer crashed and won't load the recent Audacity project
Hello, I need help. I was about to export my recording (has been saved before), and then my computer restart itself (I assume it crashed also as I didn't do anything). After the restart, I tried to open my previous project to export the files, it has no auto-recovery message, but then it said, "Auda...

Re: Plug ins to make the sound sounds like it was cut
I'm sorry for making a "re-post". Next time, I will sure to check the threads until the end (I just browsed until 5th page and just stop) so I won't make the same mistake again.
Thank you for the thread link!

Plug ins to make the sound sounds like it was cut
Hello. I'm just wondering, is there any plug ins to make the voice sounded like it was cut smoothly? Here are some examples: At 0:31 - 0:32 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yDqZ1b4jltw&feature=g-u and this song at 0:18 - 0:32 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J9v1bzSMsgM I have tried to cut it manually, ...

Re: AT2020 USB Condenser Microphone
I can hear what you mean. Are you sure that you are set up to record from the AT2020 and not from a built in microphone on your laptop, or from an attached webcam? (If you gently run a fingernail across the wire mesh grill on the microphone it should be recorded as a loud scratching sound) Sorry fo...

Re: AT2020 USB Condenser Microphone
Oh yes, sorry, I forgot to give the link of the sound file!
Here it goes, it sounds like a cross between headset microphone and phone-talking voice:

AT2020 USB Condenser Microphone
Hello, I just got my AT2020 USB Condenser Mic, but the quality is not as clear as other people have when I record it to Audacity. It sounds like headset mic. Clear sounding audio with Audacity and AT2020 like this guy for example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yernaru2RV8 My question is, did I do a...
