thanks bill and Koz...d/l 1.3 and first issue is setting up "devices" in Audacity preferences, I set recording device to Microphone (2-USB Audio CODEC and went to make CHANNELS stereo and the only option is 1 MONO. Thanks Bill and Koz...I'll update to 1.3 first but maybe I should be saving as a wav file instead of an mp3? is that what you're saying? I did dl the lame encoder...haven't had problems w that...and I'm not into editing or anything detailed...just want to convert old albums. Let me try 1.3 and repos...
