Audacity Forum

I have a Vista home premium system, 32 bit operating system, 1.8 ghz. PC. I just installed Audacity program and recorded several tapes. I got blue recording lines. I want to playback but nothing happens when I push the play button. I open edit, but preferences is grayed out. What do I do now?
