Re: Windows 10, Did I stumble upon a fix?
the volume control is now spread across the entire slider area making volume adjustments easier.[...] As I said, it's working good and even spreads the input adjustment across the entire slider. I now set it at .70 or so and get the proper level where before I would double click it and move it in ....

Re: Windows 10, Did I stumble upon a fix?
I've been using the latest version of Audacity for a while now and I love it. I have one machine, a desktop tower, that I use for my audio hobby. I don't usually disconnect anything, it's always all in place. When I upgraded to 10 that's when I noticed it didn't work. I get a strange, almost quiet f...

Re: Windows 10, Did I stumble upon a fix?
I stuck an old Beatles "Full Dimensional Stereo" LP on and it is indeed recording and playing back in stereo. I will say that after using the latest version of AUDACITY I am anxious to to get back to it as I can see the improvements there. Thanks go out to the developers who make this great program ...

Windows 10, Did I stumble upon a fix?
So I upgraded to Win 10 and found the latest version of Audacity didn't work. Getting right to the point here's what I did: I uninstalled the latest version and installed 2.1.0. I then went to "Edit" > "Preferences" > "Devices" > "Recording" > "Device" , clicked the dropdown box and selected "Microp...

Adding labels to tracks, gaps in sound
I'm using 2.1.0 with Windows 7. This program works great. I've looked around but can't find it. When I digitize vinyl LP's, is there a way to add track labels with out a "break" or gap in the sound? The music on some records flows together and I'd like to be able to do this. Thanks again to the deve...

Version 2.1.0
Hello,
I just want to be sure I understand this clearly.
Is the new version intended for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 ?
Side note: 2.0.5 works so well I can't see how you can improve it. Thanks to the developers!

Re: 1 channel - 2 channel recording
The Music Hall mmf 9.1 has a 50Hz motor in it. It doesn't run from the USB connection. Are you using the NAD as the preamp and digital interface? Yes, In fact, the NAD can accommodate Low Output moving coil carts (I have this) or high output moving magnet carts (my Rega has this). Were you in Audac...

Re: 1 channel - 2 channel recording
No distortion that I can hear. In fact, I've done a true A/B listening test using a CDr I burned from an Audacity file vs the tt I used to spin the vinyl. I couldn't tell the difference to save my life. I'm very pleased using Audacity. I create folders on my desktop. Two for each album. One file is ...

1 channel - 2 channel recording
I'm using the latest 2.0.4 version with Win 7. Working great. However, I noticed the waveforms were identical between the two channels. I went to sound > recording > microphone > properties > advanced and sure enough, it tripped back to 1 channel. I threw out a few folders containing digitized vinyl...
