Timer recording works well but...

Using Timer Recording allows my to not have to start recording at 3am and to stop it at 2am. This makes me happy. However it prevents me from changing the audio level when the signal is weak. I learned to minimize the tracks and move them aside to give me some desktop but I still cannot make adjustm...

Re: Moving to new computer, Audacity doesn't record from on-line

I am beginning to use my microsoft vocabulary... On my test machine, I tried to follow the recommendations listed here already. I do not see methods to get to those screens and it used to be so easy. I get to a useless screen and continue to explore. I click on a different topic, I get sent back to ...

Re: Moving to new computer, Audacity doesn't record from on-line

Yep, been there. Tried that.

With KTOO web site playing NPR news, I get audio recording only if I have the remote amplifier volume up and Audacity records the ambient audio in the room. The burst that is shown is when I tapped near the microphone.

Moving to new computer, Audacity doesn't record from on-line

I have used this program for many more years than I can remember and at my age, it isn't very far. Most of my recording is from web sites. I now have a new computer, I cannot seem to get it to record that way. I can play Audacity files with no problem. The only record I can achieve is through the co...

How do I run two timer recordings at the same time?

It would be very convenient for me so that I won't have to make a special trip to the computer when I run my test programs. One timer recording is to run from 3am Saturday to 2am Sunday (Yes, 23 hours) Then another track is to record from 3am Sunday to 3am Monday (yes 24 hours). They are not recordi...

Timer recording lockout seems to interfere with Microsoft office.

This seems to be happening with my set up and I will continue to test it but I wonder if anyone else has seen this. The problem is significant enough to prevent me from using the Timer Record option which is extremely useful to my situation. I have an excel program that uses Developer/Visual BASIC t...
