I would like to modify the Timer feature.
I see the downloads for various systems. I am using Windows 10 and want to verify what I need to download. The list shows Audacity Windows Installer and Audacity Windows Zip but there doesn't seem to be any explanation. I guess I can also use the Audacity Manual. Are any of these the source code or ...

Re: Getting into serious editing audio as I have with video
I believe that I was told that Audacity does not have Mark-In and Mark-out. That is why I am using memos. (^m) They are good until you cut or add which will set the two tracks out of sync but they are good for an edit, easily moved as needed..

Re: Little to no control of volume slide bar
I was testing a special release of Audacity to see if the timer had been repaired.
It happened at the same time.
Mischief managed.....

Re: Getting into serious editing audio as I have with video
I am familiar with the select-and-play technique but it doesn't work for large sections. If I click to cover more time, the accuracy gets lost.
Using a memo to show mark-in and another for mark-out has some merit.
Is it possible to send the cursor to a memo rather than clicking for it?

Yes, that seemed to have fixed it. I wonder how it got shortened to begin with.....

Little to no control of volume slide bar
. The control for the microphone and speaker used to have a wide range for adjustment. Now my speaker control is extremely limited. At first I thought it was the size of the window but I have tried several settings. . I do not know when this changed but it would have to have been extremely recent. D...

Getting into serious editing audio as I have with video
So far I have been using Audacity to record 24 hour stretches of audio on both Saturdays and Sundays. I then play back during the week and this has been good. Now I want to get more into editing. I believe the software does this but I just don't see it. I know the concepts from video editing and hop...

Re: "Not Responding" and very long delays.
Wow, after all these years of fighting with this problem. It is cured and it was so simple. Since I no longer trust MS and backups, I designed my own technique. Everything I do saves to a network drive. I backup (rather copy) that information to another drive as a back up. As a result, the Audacity ...

Taking a week to open a 15-hour Project fresh is normal."
Wow, I certainly hope this is not the case.

Re: I want to start recording on Sat/ 6am and Sun/9am.
Audacity timer fail.JPG Update. Here is a more updateder pic. It shows that the timer reports the first 10 seconds of the recording attempt. Time left reflects the total set time minus the 10 seconds. "Stop" does nothing. Clicking to close the timer window prompts "Are you sure..." but the recorder...
