Really appreciate help. Tried a RCA cassette player I had in closet. Did all the same testing as before. Same issues but has Humming instead. Wondering since the players have to be at such a low level so that the recordings don't distort could be a problem. Low volumes may be picking up motor noises...

TY Steve I can't record cassettes without using the player. It is pugged in by a power source plug like you would use on the wall of your room. I always make original recording then immediately (without editing anything save the file as filename_copy.aup) I use that to edit things. Is is possible to save Too often while editing? When I export wav files as 32 bit float Nero burning software says "files are corrupt". If I use 16 bit PCM everything is fine.
Nero doesn't seem to like 32 bit float. I'm trying to create Audio CD's and know I'm telling Nero that.

what is OGG
In 1.2.6 what is OGG Export Setup found under "Format tab"? Right now OGG Quality = 5. I see it has a slider to move in either direction. What is this and what is best setting for making Audio CD's?
