Re: Sudden low bitrate recording
Is there a process inside Windows that will record a simple audio track? Anything that came with the computer/sound "card." They always throw "free" software packages in there or "evaluation" copies which may work enough to confirm the damage. Koz I don't have any other programs to record audio. Is...

For example, I have a large if old SoundBlaster card and it comes with "AEX Sound Simulation" as well as its own complex setup panels. Each of my connections to the outside world can be either ...

Re: Sudden low bitrate recording
<<<It's not low-quality audio I'm recording, I can assure you that. >>> I'm perfectly assured that it's very high quality work. Now answer the question please. Koz It's line-in audio from my PS2. I make tatsujins of video games (well used to until this problem). And it's not the PS2 causing this pr...

Re: Sudden low bitrate recording
It's not low-quality audio I'm recording, I can assure you that. The audio I'm recording is higher-quality than what I hear after I play back what was recorded, if that makes any sense. Audacity is suddenly dumbing down the audio quality to a lower bitrate when I record it.

Sudden low bitrate recording
Recently when I record the audio and play it back in Audacity (like before I save it to MP3), it sounds like a lot lower bitrate. Usually its the same quality as the audio I'm recording, but suddenly it's a lot lower quality-sounding... Also when I save it, it sounds like a very low bitrate no matte...
