I had a rethink - and decided what I wanted from THIS exercise was not accurate transcription, but to see if I could get Audacity to convert a WAV file for me so that DRAGON could analyse it. I have come to Audacity because I want Dragon Naturally Speaking to convert 8bit WAV files of speech to written text, however Dragon needs 16bit files, and I read that Audacity can convert 8bit to 16bit. I have no clue how to do this and would like some pointers.
