Thank you for all this help...I am new to this game..
I do have and external soundcard..it a Tascam US-122 and I do have a Yamaha QS300 keyboard.......I have never hooked either up to the computer yet.....would these work for me to do what i need to do?

I dont have anything yet...i was hoping there would be some software with a keyboard type gui to interface with audacity that i could record a bass track and import it into an mp3

Im just wondering....I have been working with multitracks to this point, but now I have an mp3 that I need to add a bass track to...i need to play it myself record it and add it to the mp3....what would you suggest is the simplest way to go about this , Is there some cheap or better yet free softwar...

I am using 13 version of audacity....I expoert the file as an mp3....I am using winamp to play it back....basicall I have the click on the left channel and music on the right channel......OS is windows 7......I have even time shifted the song ahead a bit but still the first note of the click track i...

When I generate a click track and play back the whole song I hear the click nicely...However when I export the whole song to mp3...the first click of the 8 beat count in I have created is always missing.....seems to be like this for all songs I have created...
