Thanks for your reply... i'm using the Audacity 1.3x (Beta) version on Windows 7... I've tried to open another file which was 1hr 30 mins and it was ok... But i tried downloading mp3split as you recommended but when running the program a black DOS-style window appears and i cannot proceed... any sug...

The issue is that i want to split a an DJ live set (mp3 file) which is more that 80mins long in two, so I'm then able to burn the biggest part on a cd. My problem is not the splitting but the fact that when I import the file, I'm only allowed to play 35 minutes (the ruler basically just stops there!...
