Thanks for your help...I think I was opening Audacity before I put the Tascam in. I've still have some learning to do with this but should be okay.

In the "devices & printers" control panel the Tascam US-122mkII is noted as "unspecified"...in Hardware & Sound the device is noted as "default device...properties are noted thusly 16 bit 44100 Hz(CD quality) Should I change this property to "studio quality"?

no signal

I just installed beta 1.3,as advised by Tascam. Still having same problem...no signal to audacity. Have Windows 7.What am I doing wrong?
