I meant 1.3.9...... I have already got the latest drivers (the manufacturer hasn't released ANY updates since I last updated my sound driver... and my microphone is enabled, I can hear it in computer speakers.... but the latest version of Audacity doesn't think so

I originally had Audacity 1.3.0 installed onto my Windows 7 computer, I upgraded to 1.3.13 just today, because of a bug you guys told me about that was causing me not to be able to save the .wav file anywhere but My Documents.... but now I have a problem... when I run the latest version of Audacity ...

no, It does this before i even type a name.. i always navigate to my folder before even typing a name... i cannot even navigate to folders on my 2TB external Hard drive (J) -- same problem persists!!!!! this is the version in help/about --- Audacity ® 1.3.9 (Unicode)

Audacity will no longer allow me to save in any folder but the desktop or the main C: drive folder, no where else... if i click on ANY folder to go to it to save there Audacity will lag for about 15 seconds then display back to the main C: or desktop and show that there is no wav files there, even t...

Windows 7 ultimate, it's any wav file on my computer, it won't export with any name, any drive, the only thing that works is recording from microphone (or any other recording line) this only happens with wav files currently on the computer,

I was editing a wav file I already had on my computer... I had to delete parts of the file + all of the silence in the file... when I go to export it, the exporting progress bar fills up, but there is no wav file.. it's not there... it doesn't matter what directory I try to export the wav to or what...

sorry i took so long to post the screenshot... I have been sooooooooo busy the last few days, still busy, so I won't know when I can come back... (stopped what I was in the middle of, to post this, just because it crossed my mind)

it is securely in the microphone slot (only 1 microphone slot exists) & roll back driver is grayed out... but this needing to restart for soundcard to recognize it still persists... and only has been doing this since the date of this original thread... (the day before that & prior was all fine)

it's not machine crash, I restart every time I plug in my microphone... somehow my soundcard doesn't recognize my microphone without restarting my computer... upon restart, My soundcard sees my microphone, but if I unplug my microphone, I would need to restart while my microphone is plugged in to us...

how do I get it to use lame_enc.dll? it has defaulted to using lame.exe since i first started using audacity back in '07!! the other problem... I need to restart my computer then it works... but it has been doing that from time to time, forcing me to restart my computer... I don't know what the deal...
