I only use VBR and so have only noticed the bug on files with VBR quality. Maybe Audacity can pass CBR info to Lame okay... answering why you see 192kbps. Either way, the resulting .mp3 WILL be the quality you selected when exporting, the info just maybe a bit messed up. Or is it possible that this ...

Steve, the MP3s I exported recently from 1.3.5 show my selected setting of 192 on the ID3v2 tag (examined with Windows Explorer and examining the file's Properties). Are you saying that while this tag may show the desired 192 bitrate, the file is actually a 128 MP3? I'm confused now.... WC The qual...
