Re: how to change the frequency *gradually* ?

I think I know how. Use the Bode Frequency Shifter plugin that you can get off Audacity's download page, and configure the time to your needs. You can also make it go slowly down which is what you want. You can also do the fading out effect by simply making a equalization with the Equalization effec...

How do I isolate this "Scream" noise in this demo I did?

Sup guys. I was wondering how on earth would I isolate this scream noise in this demo I did on my keyboard. I did some effects and I remember I came upon this scream sound with the Ring Modulator plugin I have with Audacity. So I copied it, and undid it to the main demo, and pasted it as a new stere...

Re: Help With Compression Effects

That is a nice reverb you got there on your version. Yeah, I got the loop from FreeLoops.com so it wasn't the best quality. Never knew that downloading stuff ruined quality. But I found my version got rid of SOME of the noise though cause of the threshold I think. But yours is great too. What is tha...

Re: How do I make a real splash sound for cymbals?

Thanks so much man. This advice is really righteous lol. I'll check that band out btw. But now that you mention the panning for the drum kit, what is the standard about doing it? I've noticed that some drummers like Bonham prefer their floor toms to have a dominant left to right position when going ...

Re: Help With Compression Effects

Dude, thank you so much! I followed the compression step by step and I got it! Man, I wish I had people like you when I mix my stuff lol. Whenever I make a song, can you please mix it for me? I'm not even kidding, those steps were so easy and awesome :D. You have skill lol. Here's the before and aft...

Re: How do I make a real splash sound for cymbals?

Yeah, for the second song, I was talking about that snare sound in the beginning.

Thanks for the advice for the CAN song. I just wanna really find out how to do that snare "POOOWWW" sound in the beginning of that Ataxia song.

How do I make a real splash sound for cymbals?

Sup everyone. I had a cool idea the other day for when I get to record my drum beats on the mic kit I want so bad :D and I had the idea of making some of the cymbal crashes sound like a reverby splash. The only way I can describe how I kinda want it is by referencing the song, "Mushroom" by Can. If ...

Re: Help With Compression Effects

Cool. I know about sampling and if done, it's not bad but its not as fresh as I want it to be.

Fast Attack huh?

How do you go about getting a fast attack on compression?

Like how much should be the attack and release?

I'm kinda confused on that one lol.

Re: Help With Compression Effects

If I ever get a recording mic kit for my drum set and record a beat or two, could you guys remaster it for me? Just a question for the long run lol. Maybe in a month or two I might do that. I tried the Gate effect on some beats I had, I guess i'm bad with it because all I could do is reduce the DB l...
