I'm playing my Yamaha electric piano through a line-in cable.

Sure. What I mean is that when I try to listen to the audio as I record it, there's a delay between when I press the piano keys and when I hear the notes in audacity. Basically, it's not recording in real time. I can't even record it if I can't hear what I'm doing properly enough to play it.

Hi, first post here. So, I'm trying to record a track through the line in port on my Dell laptop (brand new), but here's the problem: there's a 1/4 second delay or so during the recording process itself. I've read countless threads on here, but none seem to be able to help. There is no hardware play...
