How big are these files? How much free hard drive space do you have? At exactly what point does it crash? The files are usually in the neighborhood of 40 megs in size. I have over 50 gigs of free space. My PC has 4 gigs of RAM and is a quad core Intel - so there's plenty of power. It crashes after ...

Audacity crashes when I convert a file to mono
I am encoding sermons, so because they are speech they don't need to be in stereo. I convert them to mono, try to export, and Audacity crashes every time. Any idea why?
