splitting vocals and background music
i have uploaded music onto audacity by slecting stereo-track and pressing record...this records whatever my pc speakers are playing is it possible to split the vocals on the recording, from the music?? so that i could mix the vocals of one song with the music of another creating a mix. is there some...

ive just checked the format of songs in my itunes library and they are AAC.
reading the Audacious website it says that this file format is not useable.
could anyone explain to me how to convert the AAC music file into a suitable format??

Make sure that you are importing a supported format. http://audacityteam.org/help/faq?s=files&i=wma-proprietary Audacity can not "import directly from CD". You must either Record, or Rip a CD. ive also tried importing files from itunes...which are MP3 files arent they? at any rate thi...

problems importing music?!?!
hi guys.
recently installed audacious...
imported music from both itunes and directly from a cd
however both times when i click play the file lasts for only a second, and seems extremely high pitched!
any suggestions on how to solve this problem??
