Re: 3.4 Bug with Key commands
Not exactly what I meant. The key is, perhaps, that I reprogrammed the "x" key to Delete audio. After Ctrl-X or Ctrl-Z for that matter is pressed, pressing the "x" key with any audio selected (or not) will delete all audio. It will go away after a few minutes.

3.4 Bug with Key commands
Being that I often master long lectures, and the most frequently used functions are stop and delete, I programmed the Spacebar to Stop and Set Cursor, and the letter "X" to delete, so Idon't have to take my other hand off the mouse. However, if I Use "Ctrl-X" to Cut out some audio, pressing "X" afte...

Re: 1.3.4 Stutterring sound
The sound was also stutterring in the sound tests you provided. I lowered the sound card output bitrate from 24 bit 192000 to 16 bit 44100. That may have helped as well. Though I am noticing a slight speed improvement overall since I uninstalled norton. At any rate, no more stuterring.

Re: 1.3.4 Stutterring sound
Yah I feel kindof dumb now, because un-installing Norton solved the problem....I think...We'll see how it pans out after I use it for a little while.

Re: 1.3.4 Stutterring sound
No, and the problem isn't with recording. That goes just fine. The problem is with playback. When I am listening to the pre-recorded audio file, the sound "blips" during playback, although there are no such artifacts in the actual recording. When I record I always use the line-in on my computer. Tho...

Re: 1.3.4 Stutterring sound
Ooh ooh yes yes and I have the ION turntable setting on my refridgerator because it enhances the bass!
But seriously, I will try closing (even more) programs and see if that helps.

Re: Spoken Word: Tweaking for Maximum Quality
Ok, just an update: The audio I am stating with are lectures recorded in the late 80's. They have a moderate amount of background hiss, though it varies from file to file. Some were recorded with a lapel mic and some with a shoebox recorder on a table with a bunch of people sitting around. You can g...

Re: 1.3.4 Stutterring sound
I assumed that as a given...lol, though it is true. I have about 80% free disk space, and I run a scan-disc and defrag once a week, and every time I end a large project.

1.3.4 Stutterring sound
Hello All, I have been experiancing alot of stutterring during playback of audio files. It sounds like there are "blips" in the recording, but if I play back over the audio, the blips will be in different places. It's not a serious problem, but it's difficult to tell where there are actual recording...

Re: mp3 - poor quality, since upgrading to 1.3
I have this same problem using 1.3.4. No matter what constant bitrate I specify, the sound quality is terrible. If I export as a WAV and convert to Mp3 using Itunes (128kbps), it sounds just fine. At first I thought it was my mastering technique (leaving too much noise, etc...), but after trying wit...
