Re: LineIn input no longer working
Never mind, guys, I just solved it. In the LineIn properties, the LineIn was muted. I unmuted it and it's fine now.

LineIn input no longer working
I just discovered that, after a couple of months of non-usage, the LineIn jack is no longer working and I cannot record onto Audacity. There was nothing I did to change that. Anyone know what's up with that? I tested the LineIn at the Sound applet (from Control panel) and checked for visual indicati...

Oh, the Audacity of it, eh? Why don't you contact ebay yourself instead of hoping someone will? Heh.

Re: Crash in WinXP
MDOC, do you mean 90% should be replaced by 90,5 % or by 89,5 % ? I mean it's gonna be less than 90%. This percentage value depends on the relationship between HD size, swap file size, and available space on the HD. The more swap file you allocate, the less this percentage is. Contrari-wise, the mo...

Re: Crash in WinXP
Audacity can become unstable on Windows machines if their hard drives are over 90% full and/or have not been defragmented. Koz If a swap file (virtual memory) is enabled on your system, then the above statement is inaccurate. The percentage stated depends on the HD space minus the size of the swap ...

Re: tape conversion
I recently purchased Plus Deck2c to convert cassettes to CD. However, I keep receiving "unrecognized codec". The tech at Plus Deck suggested using your program. Can this be done? If it is possible please let me know what I need to do. I have installed Audacity 1.2.6 My o/s is Windows XP Media Cente...

Re: Audacity HANGS in XP after 1 successful export session
Hold it, guy. I'm not satisfied with you not solving your problem, because you haven't tried a clean vanilla configuration in your system. There could be a software conflict in your system. In the past, a software conflict had been the culprit in weird problems like this. I've had 'em before. Disabl...

Re: two .aup files will not load
All right. Doesn't matter much anyway; I still have the identical 1.26 aup files. I've reworked them and saved them as 1.35 aups. Gonna delete the bad files, now.

Re: two .aup files will not load
"Audacity Projects" are made of two parts: filename .aup is the Audaciy Project file filename _data is a folder that contains data for the audacity project. Audacity requires both the AUP file and the data to be available. Audacity 1.2.x files can be opened in Audacity 1.3.x Audacity 1.3.x files ca...
