Re: Does earbuds works for recording Audio ?
I remember. Do you have anything now? It's not unusual for somebody to insist a hot-zot microphone is the only way to go, when most of the work can be done with a plain microphone—possibly something they already own. There's nothing wrong with cheap rock-band microphones. I've done recordings with a...

Re: Does earbuds works for recording Audio ?
Being am obsessive pessimist, I can think of things to do wrong. Chewing sounds end up in your ears, oddly enough. So no snacking for you while recording. Bluetooth isn't the most stable connection. You could end up with holes and gaps in your work. I can foresee repeatability problems. Each time yo...

Re: Does earbuds works for recording Audio ?
That's normally my world, but I have no experience with doing it from earbuds. I've done recordings from iPhone/iPod. http://kozco.com/tech/audacity/pix/iPod-MicStand-500.jpg The worst trouble with that is getting the sound files in and out of the phone. That can be a juggling act. We should wait fo...

Don't read the book without resolving this first. There are some recording problems we can't correct.

Re: Very small Waveform
Most home readers have trouble with noise. Past the obvious trying to read while the metrobus is driving by, there are sweet spots for recording volume. Too loud and you run the risk of overload. That's pretty serious. You record so loud that the digital system runs out of numbers and you record gar...

You got me.
I can't project what could cause a problem like this.
I guess we wait for one of the systems people.

Re: recording in stereo
Did the device come with driver software? Driver software can scramble settings like this. Both mics seem to record on Audacity just fine, but only on one channel. And that's why I suggest drivers. My single microphone USB interface has a native choice of stereo which is what you want, and mono whic...

Re: Very small Waveform
Select the whole thing by clicking just right of the up arrow. Effect > Amplify > OK. The default amplify will increase the volume as much as possible before overload distortion. Waves that small usually come with baggage. What's the job? Are you reading for audiobooks? Surveillance microphone? Koz
