Re: Bug - Cannot Get Out Of "Play Mode"
Audacity booted slowly, and wouldn't record or edit audio after playing the audio once. Like, I cannot add any effects or record anything You're not running out of drivespace, are you? How long was the show? Audacity UNDO makes total copies of the whole show as UNDO every time you make an effect. I...

Re: Monstruous distortion of my voice
a brand new headset successfully tested with Skype. How would you know? you can't hear your voice at the far end and most people consider being able to barely understand the far side a success. Did you close Skype before you tried to record a performance? Audacity doesn't get along with Skype. As a...

Re: stand alone recording

Re: RMS Normalize seems to undo everything else
The audio is almost always set to peak at 0 at voices.com Loudness Wars dictate you make a performance as loud as you possibly can so as to get noticed. It drives everybody nuts. Our recommendation is peak at -1dB for general (not ACX) submission. With that volume, you can run into most MP3 compres...

Re: Sticky Amplify
If it's about this topic: Yes, but. The track has AGC on the performance and there is no unique firework pop. The explosion is a blob of highly distorted waveforms that slowly reveals the music as the AGC comes down from the ceiling. Note the music is throbbing bass rock and many if not all of the ...

Sticky Amplify
I had occasion to use Amplify a bunch of times at the same setting. Amplify settings aren't sticky. Alternately, is there a Drag-Select > Mute which was the actual goal.

Reverse Delete
Is there a drag-select a portion of a track and delete everything else? I can force that to work with setting labels, etc. etc.

I took the bangs out of the first 20 seconds or so. Attached.

The forum thread jumps from 2014 to 2018. That's why I couldn't follow it. Post a new message unless you're helping get somebody else out of trouble.
