The way I read this, you should be creating a new show as a second track below the original. Select the track by clicking just right of the up arrow. You can select one track without the other by tapping just right of the up arrow. You can play only one or only the other with SOLO and MUTE.

That can happen if you leave off the tilde (~) at the beginning of the address. That's a UNIX abbreviation.
