Re: Noise Floor

You're working today I see. The forum elves are volunteers. The joke is we do this stuff between bouts of Real Life. That's one reason for the absences and holes in the response. I'll look up your equipment and see what's going on. I don't expect the system to behave like this. Is it new? Buying pr...

Re: Enveloping only one side of a stereo track

would like to know exactly how to accomplish this.
You want to make it do that, or make it stop doing that?

If you have a stereo show (two blue waves) Dropdown menu on the left > Split Stereo Track. Do your corrections and then Make Stereo Track.

Re: deleted all the vocals

do i need to do something with the files or send them to you You can't send it. The audacity forum only allows about 2MB of "stuff." Open the Project. Is it in Stereo—coming from both speakers with everybody singing? Tracks > Mix > Mix Stereo to Mono. Play it. Did the singers vanish? Koz

Re: FLAC larger than WAV?

Converted 3MB MP3 The first thing Audacity would have done is convert the MP3 to uncompressed. That works out to about 32MB. Convert then to FLAC might give you around 21MB. 3MB Wav (Original War of the worlds) WOTW was almost certainly not a WAV file. War of the World s was about a 29 minute mono ...
